Introduction to Knifemaking
In this one day introduction to bladesmithing class, you will learn to create your own Dark Ages Blacksmith's style knife. This class will cover drawing out the handle and shaping basic blades; including grinding, quenching, tempering and sharpening. Small groups of two to three people. Classes run on Mondays or Tuesdays from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
Where: Kryal Castle Blacksmith Shop
Dates: Mondays/Tuesdays. Not available on public or school holidays.
Time: 10.30am to 3.30pm
Ages: 16+ *
*Under 18s must have parental/guardian supervision.
Cost: $400
Provided:
-Metal and tools
-Safety equipment (inc. goggles, gloves and apron)
-Tea or coffee
You need to bring:
-Leather closed toe boots and non-flammable clothing.
-Packed lunch as the castle food vendors will not be open.
-Water bottle.
